What the Counseling Process looks like for Child Trauma

Week One: Intake

  • We'll meet with you and your child to discuss concerns, assess their needs, and develop a personalized treatment plan.


Weeks Two & Beyond: Therapy

  • Your child will learn coping skills, explore their emotions in a safe way, and begin to heal from the trauma.

  • We may recommend involving you in some sessions to provide support, learn how to best support your child at home, and create a safe and healing environment.

Termination: 1-2 Final Sessions

  • We'll celebrate your child's progress and develop a plan to maintain healthy coping mechanisms and emotional well-being.
