Julia Galleguez, MA, CRC
Hi I'm Julia, and I believe in the transformative power of personal growth. Every individual's journey is unique and holds immense value. When we heal and blossom, our positive ripples reach far beyond ourselves, impacting the lives of those around us.
We all possess the potential for positive change, and my role is to support you in unlocking that potential. Mental wellness is the bedrock of our overall well-being, but sometimes, navigating life's challenges can feel like climbing a mountain. That's where I come in.
I see my role as a guide and collaborator, equipping you with the tools and support you need to cope with life’s inevitable challenges. Together, we'll build your mental resilience using a toolkit of self-compassion and coping mechanisms while rewriting your internal narrative. Like you, I have been through seasons of self-doubt and low motivation. Those journeys taught me the transformative power of kindness to myself, the courage to keep climbing, and the importance of having the unwavering support of others. I want to do that for you.
Your journey will be unique, with unexpected twists and turns. But remember, you are worth the effort, every step of the way. There's nothing quite like the peace of mind that comes with feeling truly grounded, at peace, and in control. That's what we'll strive for together.
We'll work collaboratively to identify your strengths, learning styles, and needs. We'll set goals and explore obstacles, planting the seeds for growth. I'll demystify the science behind therapy tools, making them accessible and empowering. Yes, some moments might be uncomfortable, but I'll be your unwavering cheerleader, supporting you as you become your own best advocate. When emotions need space to breathe, we'll create that space. Your voice and feedback are always welcome, both during check-ins and throughout our sessions. You are the expert on yourself, and I'm here to walk alongside you as you navigate your own path.
In my free time, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, getting lost in historical fiction, or enjoying nature with loved ones. My passion for mental health led me to my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. I also hold a certificate in marriage and family therapy and am a certified rehabilitation counselor. I have years of experience providing evidenced based therapy to children, adults, and couples. I believe that every story deserves to be heard, and I'm here to empower you to write your own story - to find joy, contentment, and acceptance in your life.
